General

1.1
The Laws of Association Football will apply with the exception of those appertaining to: Pitch Dimensions; Offside; Commencement and Duration of matches; such additional rules as listed below

The Pitch will be approximately 35yds x 50yds with a centre spot. The penalty and goal area will be combined and will be marked by lines 10yds parallel to each Goal line

There will be no offsides

A penalty will be awarded against the goalkeeper if he handles the ball outside the 10yd Penalty Area For any offence under Law 12 in the Penalty Area

Goal kicks must be taken from the goal line and goal keepers may not kick from their hands or on the bounce at any time

A size 3 football will be used for U7, U8 & U9 and a size 4 used for U10, U11, & U12

All free kicks will be direct

The halfway ‘retreat’ rule applies for U8, U9 & U10 age groups whenever a goal kick is taken from the goal line

In the event of a colour clash the 2nd named team shall be required to change strip, this will be at the referee’s discretion

Discipline

2.1
Any team failing to take the field 2 minutes after being called will forfeit the game and their opponents will be awarded 3 match points, with a score of 3-0

2.2
Any player sent off will be banned from the remainder of the Tournament

2.3
Any player cautioned twice in the Tournament will be deemed to have been sent off and will be banned from the rest of the tournament


2.4

Team managers will be held responsible for the conduct of their players, parents and spectators, any team found guilty of misconduct may be disqualified from the tournament

The Competition

3.1
The Tournament will be held on a league basis for all age groups. Top 2 teams, from each age group (4 teams), will progress to semi-finals and final.
Dependant on the number of teams entered in each age group.

3.2
In the event of a draw, the team with the best goal difference will be the winner

3.3
In the event of two teams having the same points and goal difference, the team scoring the most goals is the winner

3.4
In the event of two teams with the same record over the whole Tournament a play-off will decide the winner

3.5
If the two teams remain tied at the end of the play-off a penalty shoot-out will decide the Tournament with 3 penalties for each team, followed by sudden death if required

Match Duration

4.1
All matches will be of ten minutes duration, with no half time.

League Matches

In the league, 3 points will be awarded for a win, 1 for a draw and none for a loss.

Eligibility & Substitutes

6.1
No player can play for more than one team on the day

6.2
Teams from under 9 upwards will consist of 6 players plus a maximum of 2 nominated substitutes. A player who has been substituted may return to the playing area as a substitute for another player at any time during the match with the permission of the referee


Under 8's will play 5v5 as per FA guidelines


6.3

Roll on Roll off substitutions will be permitted, with the exception of the goalkeeper who may only be changed once during a game, other than through injury

Appeals

The organising
committee will hear any dispute on payment of £20.00, refundable on a successful appeal. This committee will not overturn results (unless there is a dispute regarding the score) the committee’s decision is final

Age Groups

The tournament is open to teams in the age groups U8s, U9s, U10s, U11s and U12s, who are eligible to play for their respective clubs in the 2018/2019 playing season.
